Committee Members
Chair Person – Nick Brookes
Nick comes to us originally from Australia. Though Aussie rules would be his main sport, he can’t bat his kids away from rugby. Nick has 3 kids, two of which have graduated from the club with one more paving his path throughout the Warriors family. You’ll find Nick pitch side with no shoes and a Warriors ball in hand. Always approachable and willing to lend a hand.
Operations Manager – Kylie Masur
Kylie originally comes from Canada. You can usually find her around the place, not sitting down and greeting most of our members by name. If you’ve contacted anyone from the Dubai Warriors, it’s likely her. If you have a question, concern, query or want a chat, Kylie’s your gal, you just have to find her in one place first! Kylie is still an active player, previously representing the UAE at the 7s division in the Asia Series, taking breaks to have kids and hopes to return to her Dubai Phoenix team for the Dubai 7s this upcoming season.
Director of Rugby – Burger Geldenhuys
Burger comes to us from South Africa with a wealth of knowledge. Burger has been involved in high level rugby around the world and has put his knowledge and dedication of the sport into use at the Dubai Warriors. Creating a pathway for our players and a clear direction for our coaches, Burger is ready to help us take the Dubai Warriors to the next level.
Youth Development Officer – Moneeb Galant
Mo is a household name around the DESS Campus and comes to us from South Africa. Mo is friendly, well known and incredibly well liked. His passion resides in coaching the youth while also maintaining his position on the field with the UAE team. You can find Mo moving around the DESS pitches with his backpack on shaking hands and lending high fives to any kid that passes him by.
Female Development Officer – Epeli Davetawalu
Epeli is new to the Warriors but absolutely not a new name on the rugby scene. Epeli comes to us from Fiji but has been in the UAE the past few years. A teammate of Mo’s on the UAE circuit, Epeli has experience in both the 7s and 15s game and brings years of successful coaching to the table. Epeli is passionate about the development of the Female game and has been landed with the responsibility of making the Dubai Warriors a dominant name in the league.
Director of Netball – Caycee Innes
Caycee, or to be known as CJ, joins us originally from Scotland. She is a dedicated teacher and a passionate advocate for netball. CJ has taken on the role of Director of Netball and does this with ease. She manages the entire netball group from small ones to adults ensuring their trainings are of standard, they are participating in leagues and she’s always coming up with someone creative to enhance their skills. CJ throws on the old netball dress from time to time and partakes in the team game as well!
